Linda Ryan, Provincial Manager - BCCA Apprenticeship Program
Linda joins us from the newly established BCCA Apprenticeship Program. BC’s construction employers are able apply for up to $40,000 through the BC Construction Association (BCCA) to offset the costs of onboarding and training first-year apprentices in 39 Red Seal trades as part of this program. Aminah Khan, Community Engagement Manager - BCCA Building Builders
Aminah leads the media and communications, stakeholder engagement, and community engagement activities on behalf of the Building Builders program. This program is British Columbia’s first-of-its-kind. It consists of 1:1 mentorship program that connects under- and unemployed mentees with skilled experts and leaders across all disciplines in the construction industry.

Stephen Dang is the Director of Business Development and Partnerships for the BCCA EBT, who are the administrators of NRCA’s Employee Benefit Plan. Lorne Sobczyk, Harm Reduction Coordinator - Tailgate Toolkit
Lorne is a harm reduction coordinator for the Tailgate Toolkit project. The program is an innovative program aimed at increasing access to harm reduction services and ideas for those working in the construction industry. The Tailgate Toolkit Project consists of four components; on-site/virtual toolbox talks, supervisory training for site and company leaders, an industry support group, and region-specific resource guides for folks working in the construction/trades industry. Lorne will be available to talk more about the program and upcoming opportunities for employers.

Kassidy Stuart, Regional Employment Placement Specialist - STEP
Kassidy joins us from from the Skilled Trades Employment Program (STEP). This program focuses on helping entry level trades people find work in the Construction Industry. Their goal is to alleviate the skills shortage in the Construction Industry by finding ready to work participants and assisting them in securing employment. She looks forward to meeting different employers to help connect those looking to enter the construction industry with quality job placements.
