"Heavy Metal Rocks" is a fantastic community-minded initiative to give 32 local students a big head start in the Construction Industry. These 32 students participate in a 4 day event which is an amazing learning opportunity, combining safety training, hands-on experience with heavy equipment, speakers and a wealth of information from industry veterans. The Northern Regional Construction Association partners with School District #57, the College of New Caledonia and WorkSafeBC to coordinate "Heavy Metal Rocks" annually. This project is made possible by the generous support of NRCA donors and partners, who provide services, equipment and materials, volunteer time, and contribute financially to the event.
